British shoegaze enthusiasts Cheatahs will follow up their self-title debut from earlier this year with a new EP called Sunne. “Controller” is the first track they’ve unveiled from the forthcoming release and it’s a satisfying fuzzy burst of controlled noise. “This song is probably the first time we’ve ever written a song on the spot,” frontman Nathan Hewitt told Fader. “We were demoing songs in our studio and this one just came out of nowhere. It was like we were being controlled in a video game or something.” Listen below.
